Chez MainLine: Meet our artist-in-residence Cameryn Moore!

It's a quiet week at MainLine Theatre, so we thought we would take advantage and tell you a little about our artist in residence this season: Cameryn Moore.

Chances are you have seen her work at a Canadian FRINGE Festival, attended a SMUT SLAM or received your very own SIDEWALK SMUT from her. Over the next few months, we're all over Cameryn. But first up, we have a reading of her new work, RELEASE, on Wednesday, January 23rd at 8PM at MainLine Theatre. Witness this work in progress, and then join in a lively post-reading discussion facilitated by Patrick Goddard. Its free to attend!

More Carmeryn Moore:

** Reading: Release
------------------------------------------------------------
Jan 23rd, 8PM
About Release: They are all around us, those little moments of awareness, of liberation, of longing, a fleeting sense of "there is something else". Press your eye up to those cracks and peer out, whisper to someone on the other side, or dig in with your fingers and pull as hard as you can, to see what it feels like when you step through. ... Quick-draw, real and raw character studies, inspired by real people from Cameryn Moore's work in phone sex and sidewalk pornography.

** Art Matters:
Call for projects!
------------------------------------------------------------
The Art Matters Festival, the MainLine Theatre and the St-Ambroise Montréal FRINGE Festival are looking for talented artists to present work at their collective Nuit Blanche event on March 2nd. We are mainly looking for any types of performance and music. Visual work that does not need to be hung, such as projections and interactive installations, is also more than welcome. Our concept is to have the art inhabit the whole space of the Mainline Theatre. Since many pieces will be sharing the space, we are hoping to include collaborations between mediums. Send applications to info@artmattersfestival.org (mailto:info@artmattersfestival.org) by February 1st, 2013.
