Our New GM is announced! Nous accueillons un nouveau directeur administratif !

I feel lucky that I have had the pleasure of working with Al Lafrance, our former Interim General Manger. I'd like to take this time to thank him for his service this past year. Al is a pretty incredible guy, and thankfully, we haven't seen the last of him at MainLine. Al is the co-founder of the SOLOS Festival taking place at MainLine from November 6th to 9th. I'm going to miss having him in the office with me every day!
With that, it's time for our big announcement: MainLine Theatre's new General Manager is Geoff Agombar! You may know Geoff already, either from his time as office manager of the English-Language Arts Network or the seven years he worked with MainLine & the FRINGE. In fact, Geoff is returning to the role of GM, which he held from 2004-08 – back when we first opened the theatre!
And here is a little more about him: Originally from Nova Scotia, Geoff arrived in Montreal in 2002. Since then he has worked with a variety of great groups, from Just For Laughs and Pop Montreal to Aux Vivres and the Quebec Anglophone Heritage Network. He has toured South Africa, Singapore, the US and Canada with partner Catherine Kidd, creator of multimedia solo shows Sea Peach and Hyena Subpoena.

Je suis chanceuse d'avoir travailler avec Al Lafrance, notre ancien directeur administratif par intérim. Je voudrais profiter de cette occasion et lui remercier pour son travail extraordinaire cette année. Al est un homme exceptionnel et je vais m'ennuyer de lui au bureau ! Par contre, nous allons continuer de le voir au théâtre vu qu'il est le co-fondateur du Festival SOLOS qui aura lieu au MainLine du 6 au 9 novembre.
En même temps, il est mon grand plaisir d'annoncer l'arrivé de notre nouveau directeur administratif Geoff Agombar ! Il est possible que vous le connaissez déjà, soit par son travail en tant que gérant de bureau chez ELAN (English-Language Arts Network), soit parce qu'il travaillait chez MainLine et le FRINGE dans le passé. En fait, Geoff était notre directeur administratif de 2004 à 2008 -- la période où nous avons ouvert notre salle de spectacle, d'ailleurs.
Originaire de Nouvelle-Écosse, Geoff est arrivé à Montréal en 2002. Depuis, il a assumé de rôles variés au sein de plusieurs organisations montréalaises, y inclus les festivals Juste pour rire et Pop Montréal, ainsi qu'Aux Vivres et le Réseau du patrimoine anglophone du Québec. Il a également eu l'occasion de partir en tournée en Afrique du Sud, à Singapour, aux États-Unis et au Canada avec sa partenaire Catherine Kidd, créatrice des solos multimédias Sea Peach et Hyena Subpoena.
