The 3rd Annual Gala for Student Drama is here!

Hello MainLiners!

We are proud to bring you the 3rd Annual MainLine Gala for Student Drama this week! Our four teams of students have been working very hard and are ready to show you their short plays!

This Gala sold out last year, so we recomnend you purchase your tickets in advance for this one by calling 514-849-3378 or going to mainlinetheatre.ca (http://mainlinetheatre.ca/) . In other news, did you notice what song won Song of the Year at the Grammys? The accidental L'Après FRINGE: 13th Hour anthem from 2012: WE ARE YOUNG (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sv6dMFF_yts) . Let's raise a glass to late night dance parties, good times with friends and the arts festival that brings us all together over and over again.

FRINGE on!

** Workshop: Body Acceptance for Performers
------------------------------------------------------------
with Cameryn Moore in collaboration with the Quebec Drama Federation (http://quebecdrama.org)
$45, $35 QDF discount. Feb 17th, 7-9PM
Registration: workshops@quebecdrama.org (mailto:workshops@quebecdrama.org)

The body is our instrument, and we play it live, out in front of everyone. With that kind of scrutiny, with cultural values being what they are, it can be a real struggle for performers to develop and maintain acceptance for our own bodies. And yet that acceptance is necessary in order to both take care of ourselves (physically and mentally) and be fully at home on stage. This experiential workshop blends physicality, crafts, journaling, and discussion for a session that won't necessarily answer your questions, but at least starts the conversation about what it means to love our bodies.
