NERDFUCKER (a workshop reading)

Cameryn Moore, brought to you by MainLine Theatre

A very new, not-quite-there work-in-progress by
Cameryn Moore

Waiting for the curtain to go up on the match of the century--or at least of the convention--our protagonist has some serious qualms about who she is and how the hell she got there, half-naked and with a chess board painted on her back. Her next choice could change the course of her life, and neither option looks good.

Monday, April 21 * 8pm
Mainline Theatre Mini-Main, 3997 boul. St-Laurent, MTL
Admission: FREE (though I will happily take donations for this year's UK tour)

This is a WORKSHOP READING, on a solo play that will be premiering in Montreal next spring. Why am I working on it so early? Because it wants to come out. Why am I asking for your attention and feedback? Because there are bits that feel stuck, and I work best with a deadline. HELP ME MAKE NERDFUCKER KICK ALL THE ASS THAT IT WAS DESTINED TO KICK.

A hotel you can stay in…forever. Staff are eager to help, and metaphysical boundaries are mostly respected. That is, until a has-been celebrity comes to stay.

Confabulation Montreal presents: “Food Fights — Stories of family traditions, minced words and soul food.”

What if you entered an empty rehearsal hall and suddenly an audience appears? Joseph Ste-Marie brings his experimental scripted/improvised one-man show, This Show is Broken back to the stage! This remount blends the 2021 Digital Theatre production from the Montreal FRINGE Festival and the original 2015 production at the 2nd annual Shortstanding Festival. Ste-Marie must perform his show as he explores his life, struggles, missteps, and tries to show that it’s not too late to pursue your dreams…. However, Joseph is challenged to be honest with himself so his show can be authentic as possible without being blinded by ambition.
