The Dumb Waiter

Theatre Esperance

The Dumb Waiter is probably the best of Pinter's early plays and is as clear an example of the "weasel under the cocktail cabinet" as there ever was. Two working class hit men await their instructions in the windowless basement of a seemingly deserted rooming house on the outskirts of Birmingham. James Loye plays Gus, Howard Rosenstein plays Ben.
