Pour la prochaine édition du Festival de Danse Bouge d’ici, Bouge d’ici suit son parcours de de soutenir le développement des artistes à la recherche d’opportunités pour présenter un travail chorégraphique achevé (durée de 20 à 60 min).

Cet appel à projet vise à accompagner les artistes de la danse qui aspirent à une nouvelle occasion de présenter un travail ayant déjà été produit devant un public. Bouge d’ici est sensible au sentiment vécu face à une œuvre chorégraphique qui vient tout juste d’atteindre la scène et qui ne demande qu’à être retravaillée, remodelée et perfectionnée. C’est pourquoi Bouge d’ici se veut donner aux artistes cette possibilité de donner une nouvelle vie à une œuvre chorégraphique qui leur tient à coeur. Ainsi, les artistes sélectionnés verront leurs pièces revisitées programmées lors de l’une des 3 représentations proposées durant la semaine d’ouverture du festival les 11, 12, 13 janvier à 20h (du jeudi au samedi).

La production se tient sur la scène principale Mainstage du théâtre Mainline, dans un cadre intimiste au sein du quartier du Plateau de Mont-Royal à Montréal. Accueillant principalement des évènements de théâtre, de danse ou des évènements spéciaux, la scène principale Mainstage du théâtre Mainline est une boite noire versatile et multifonctionnelle. Elle peut être adaptée à presque tout type de performance ou, conserver sa disposition originelle : public sur 3 côtés, 102 sièges.

SOUTIEN: Bouge d’ici fournit un soutien aux artistes sélectionnés dans la mesure de ses capacités en fonction des besoins et demandes de ces derniers (tel qu’organiser une répétition ouverte afin d’obtenir des feedbacks, faciliter une relation de mentorat, assister avec la conception technique…). Aussi, la billetterie est partagée entre le festival et les artistes sélectionnés. Une résidence de 30 heures sera offert.

For the next edition of the Bouge d'ici Dance Festival, Bouge d'ici continues to embark on its journey to support a developing artist(s) seeking further presentation opportunity with a completed work between 20-60min in length.

This call out is designed to support dance artists who desires another opportunity to show work that was otherwise finished it's run. Bouge d'ici understands the tragedy of feeling like things have only just gotten started when the choreography reaches the stage, and endeavour to support artists who wish to give work new life. The remounted work would be programmed for a three show run during the festival's opening week, on the evenings of January 11, 12, 13 at 8pm (Thursday to Saturday).

The production will take place at the MainLine Theatre's Mainstage, an intimate performance space in the Plateau neighbourhood of Montreal. Mainly for theatre, dance and special events, MainLine's Mainstage is a versatile, multi-functional, black box theatre. It can be adapted to fit just about any show, or kept in the standard configuration: audience on three sides, 102 seats.

Bouge d’ici will be responsible for all aspects of production, including publicity, technical aspects, box office, etc. There is no cost to the artist to be a part of this showcase.

SUPPORT: Bouge d'ici will provide support to selected artist(s) as needed and negotiated by the artist(s) within the capacity of Bouge d'ici (e.g. organizing an open rehearsal for feedback, facilitating a mentorship or assisting with design). In addition, the box office split between festival and artist(s) that are selected. A space residency at MainLine Theatre will be provided of 30 hours.
