The Rendez-Vous: While waiting for her date to finally arrive for a romantic evening out, our coquette and ever so slightly foolish heroine piles on the eccentricities to overcome her disappointment. In a succession of personas ranging from the diva, the joker to the cheeky minx, the dazzling Krin Haglund is a master of comedy, aerial silks, juggling and the Cyr Wheel. She is a true virtuoso and the first woman ever to perform on the Cyr! This is the first one-woman show for this outstanding artist. The Rendez-vous is set in a quirky 1920s cabaret where romance, hilarity, buffoonery, and grace converge.
The Rendez-Vous: Dans l’attente d’un rendez-vous galant qui tarde à arriver, une femme aussi coquette que légèrement timbrée déjoue sa déception en multipliant les excentricités. Tour à tour diva, pitre, coquine, la pétillante Krin Haglund maîtrise l’art du comique aussi bien que le tissu aérien, la jonglerie ou la roue Cyr, qu’elle a été la première femme à manier. Quelle virtuosité! Premier one-woman show de cette artiste d’exception ayant fait sa renommée avec le rôle de l’ange dans Rain, du Cirque Éloize, The Rendez-vous est campé dans l’atmosphère décalée d’un cabaret des années 1920 où le romantisme se mêle au loufoque et la bouffonnerie, à la grâce. Un pur délice.

Nop ! Pas de chat.

What if you entered an empty rehearsal hall and suddenly an audience appears? Joseph Ste-Marie brings his experimental scripted/improvised one-man show, This Show is Broken back to the stage! This remount blends the 2021 Digital Theatre production from the Montreal FRINGE Festival and the original 2015 production at the 2nd annual Shortstanding Festival. Ste-Marie must perform his show as he explores his life, struggles, missteps, and tries to show that it’s not too late to pursue your dreams…. However, Joseph is challenged to be honest with himself so his show can be authentic as possible without being blinded by ambition.
