The festival looks for works that discuss the intersections of feminism. We believe theatre and performance can act as catalysts to change us, but also to validate the lived experiences of those in our communities struggling to see themselves reflected in the mainstream media. For us, the key to that is a diverse collection of perspectives on race, ability, gender, and sexuality.

We hope this annual festival becomes a space where feminist artists to celebrate and create art. We want to inspire and empower our artists and audiences to examine the representations of feminism, people of colour, people with disabilities, and trans and queer people in performance. To achieve this the jury selects works and creates a personalized plan for the development of each piece alongside the artist. We work with creators to support and grow their play/performance. From the germination of an idea to the full realization of a performance, we mentor artists from all backgrounds in political mindfulness, aesthetic practices, and modes of performance.

These events are taking place from March 22 to March 25 at the Mainline Theatre and the Mainline Gallery.
