Après une enfance passée dans un couvent, Agnès ignore tout de l'amour, de la passion et du désir, elle est ainsi parfaite pour Arnolphe. Lorsque ce dernier quitte la ville pour un voyage d'affaires, la jeune fille se retrouve dans les bras du jeune et brave Horace, fils de l'ami d'Arnolphe. Revolted at the idea of being cuckolded, Arnolphe decides to marry his pupil, Agnès, an innocent girl he took under his care at the age of 4. After a childhood spent in a convent, Agnès is now completely clueless about feelings of love and desire, in other words, perfect for Arnolphe. However, when the old man leaves town on a business trip, she falls in the arms of the young and handsome Horace, the son of Arnolphe’s friend. With his reputation and manhood now threatened, will Arnolphe be able to break apart the young couple, or will Agnès defy her rigorous schooling and learn about love with Horace?

Leyla H. Rabel, known as Elle Rabel, is a dynamic spoken word artist, singer-songwriter, and a proud Haitian-Montrealer. Born and raised in Montreal, Elle’s journey with words began when she wrote her first poem to convince her parents to get her a kitten—and she hasn’t stopped writing since! ✨
Elle stepped onto the spoken word scene in 2019, captivating audiences with her raw, heartfelt performances. But her talents don’t stop there—she’s also an aspiring singer-songwriter, having performed with the JAM Vocal Performance Choir at events like the St-Jean Parade, Tour de l’Île de Montréal, and even in recording studios. 🎶🎤

SWALLOW is an immersive reconstruction of Sophocles’ lost tragedy Tereus, reimagined through contemporary dance, 3D projections, and soundscape art. Inspired by the fourteen surviving fragments of the lost play, SWALLOW follows in the footsteps of Sophocles’ mute heroine Philomela, who used artistic creation to turn her trauma into resistance. In this bold and imaginative performance, the past and present combine, weaving together mythology and modern media to reconstruct a lost story of trauma, truth, and transformation.

Inspiré par les quatorze fragments survivants de la pièce disparue, SWALLOW suit les traces de Philomèle, l’héroïne muette de Sophocle, qui a utilisé la création artistique pour transformer son traumatisme en résistance. SWALLOW: after fragments of Sophocles
SWALLOW is an immersive reconstruction of Sophocles’ lost tragedy Tereus, reimagined through contemporary dance, 3D projections, and soundscape art. Inspired by the fourteen surviving fragments of the lost play, SWALLOW follows in the footsteps of Sophocles’ mute heroine Philomela, who used artistic creation to turn her trauma into resistance. In this bold and imaginative performance, the past and present combine, weaving together mythology and modern media to reconstruct a lost story of trauma, truth, and transformation.

This one-of-a-kind live staged reading of this quintessential male bonding heist movie will feature an all woman cast. It’s a benefit show for the Canadian Women’s Foundation. From the same people that brought you live all women versions of the action movie classics Die Hard and Predator. One night only on Sunday April 27, 8PM. Adapted and directed by Terence Bowman.

Shanice Nicole is a powerhouse Black feminist educator , facilitator , writer , spoken word artist , and mother. Since falling in love with the mic in 2015, she’s become a force in Montreal’s arts and activism scene. Her debut children’s book, Dear Black Girls , is a love letter to Black girls everywhere.
Nominated for Gala Dynastie’s Author of the Year in 2022 and named one of CBC Quebec’s Black Changemakers in 2024, Shanice is a trailblazer creating change and dreaming of a freer world for all.

Cursed with a third leg, Johnny Legdick was sold to the circus by his parents and forced to live out his life in misery. But upon finding his true love (who is similarly disfigured), he decides to do what no freak has ever done before at Suckadecocka circus… escape.
It will have been 11 years to the day that this wacky musical debuted in the MiniMain to an oversold run. We are thrilled to be back on MainLine's mainstage once again. SO excited in fact, that the we've added a NEW CHARACTER, NEW SONG and (drum roll please...) DANCE CHOREOGRAPHY!

Embittered and forced into exile once again, the sorceress Medea looks back on her youth and the man who changed her life. In this retelling of Apollonius’ epic about Jason’s quest for the golden fleece, the perspective is flipped. Now it’s Medea’s turn to speak about the man she loved, the family she left behind, and the oaths that bind them.
